Sometimes i wonder, what would it be like to escape reality for a little while?

the monotonous life, work and study, hardy have enough money for anything at all.

I'm not someone with high intelligence, not from a rich family.

No intel,str or agi. HOW LIKE THAT.tsk

But oh well life still has to go on. I chose this path myself and i have to stick to it.

Barely passing all my modules, school fees sapping away at my pay.

Left with an amount worse then what recruits even get.

sigh. 2 years plus more, and the nightmare will be over. i hope.

oh about the previous post, i'm still trying to recover my pictures from my old lappy

which i spilled water on. :/

Reminiscence

Sometimes i wonder, what would life be for me now if i didn't start skating?

Will i be the same person as i am right now in terms of character ?

Will i have my all so wonderful friends i made from skating?

It is time to reminiscence!

where i participated in my first competition!

What do we really want?

There will come a point in time when we ask ourselves, what do we really want in life?
Be it after army for guys, or any other random point in time where we thinking about this question.
What do we really hope to achieve in this life, goals, aspirations, dreams. Or are we going to live life day by day and see things as they come by? Are we looking for wealth? status? or perhaps just someone to settle down and live a comfortable and happy life with?

The statement, “You can do anything you put your mind to,” leads us to believe that all you must do is imagine what you’d like to accomplish, set your mind to the task, and wait for success. To a certain degree this is true. Focused intention combined with action is a powerful force. But the statement is misleading because it fails to mention the difficulty and necessity of focusing your mind on a specific goal. Most of us don’t know what we want. We think we do, but we really don’t. We only know what we don’t want. We don’t want a boring job. We don’t want to be poor. We don’t want to disappoint our loved ones. Knowing specifically what you want is much different than knowing what you don’t want. When you only know what you don’t want, your intentions aren’t focused. Most people don’t fit neatly into a predefined path. Forcing yourself into one may lead to success, but it probably won’t make you happy. This is the point. If you want to be conventionally successful, to attain wealth and status, you need to choose a specific path (preferably something mainstream) and follow it to the letter. On the other hand, if you aren’t particularly concerned with wealth or success, you can take your time searching for that perfect niche. Just don’t wait too long to decide. Each moment you deliberate, your already committed competitors sprint further ahead. But, then again, maybe life isn’t a race, and maybe the most interesting people follow a path all their own. Having alot of money may not ensure happiness as so some would argue, but having money wouldn't hurt and the chances of being happy are very much higher then when you are struggling to make ends meet with that little money you have.lol

Hmmm the question "what do i really want in life" would still continue to linger around till i find my answer i guess.

Now here's another question.
Why do we grow to expect more as time goes by?
The line "expectations lead to disappointments" i feel, is rather valid.
I feel maybe sometimes expecting a little may be good once in awhile but expecting all the time?
Nah disappointments set in. Why not expect lesser and be more surprised in the end? Wouldn't it be better? :D
